Piano can be considered both a percussion and string instrument! There are strings which are hit by hammers to produce sound. These strings are not plucked like in guitar or played by a bow like in violin. But there is no membrane which is hit to produce sound as in other percussion instruments like... ...more

There are strings which are hit by hammers to produce sound. These strings are not plucked like in guitar or  played by a  bow like in violin. But there is no membrane which  is hit to produce sound as in other percussion instruments like Tabla.

Is it worth it to learn to play the piano as an adult?

Of course. First, there is no age limit to learn Music and Dance. Secondly, the enjoyment increases as the progress is fast. It is a stress burster. Adult can also learn the notations faster, so for them it is easier.

How many levels of piano are there?

Trinity College of London, have up to 8 Grades of Examinations. You can also say beginner, intermedate, and advance.

How can I get a 7-year-old kid to want to practice piano?

Send the kid to Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Kalkaji! Seriously, send him/her to a music school to learn, so that he/she gets inspired by others also. But, if the kid hates music, please, don't force.

Do children who play the piano well tend to be good in math?

Supposedly yes. Music develops abstract thingking. Many great mathematicians and chess players, and scientists, including Einstein, played music.

Is the piano a percussion instrument?

Piano can be considered both a percussion and string instrument! There are strings which are hit by hammers to produce sound. There are strings which are hit by hammers to produce sound. These strings are not plucked like in guitar or  played by a  bow like in violin. But there is no membrane which  is hit to produce sound as in other percussion instruments like Tabla.

Is it worth it to learn to play the piano as an adult?

Of course. First, there is no age limit to learn Music and Dance. Secondly, the enjoyment increases as the progress is fast. It is a stress burster. Adult can also learn the notations faster, so for them it is easier.

Trinity College of London, have up to 8 Grades of Examinations. You can also say beginner, intermedate, and advance.

How can I get a 7-year-old kid to want to practice piano?

Send the kid to Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Kalkaji! Seriously, send him/her to a music school to learn, so that he/she gets inspired by others also. But, if the kid hates music, please, don't force.
