Gymnosperms are plants in which the seed are not enclosed within fruit wall i.e. they bear (naked )seeds.These are seeded plants without fruits. Gymnosperms are divided into two classes: 1.Cycadophyta: It is further divided into three orders: I) Cycadofilicales: include all extinct forms. Eg: Lyginopteris ii) Cycadeoidales : include both living & extinct forms. Eg: Cycadeoidales iii) Cycadales: both living & extinct forms. Eg: cycas 2.
