I have been coaching and training students in chess for over 5 years, helping them sharpen their skills, develop strategic thinking, and gain the confidence to compete at higher levels. My journey as a coach is deeply rooted in my own passion for the game, which has been a constant in my life for many years. I hold a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, but my true calling has always been chess. Over time, I have pursued my interest with dedication, becoming an internationally rated chess player and earning certification as a chess coach. I am also certified by the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association (TNSCA), which has further strengthened my expertise and credibility as a mentor in the sport. One of my proudest moments as a coach was seeing one of my students secure 1st place in Bangalore across seven different categories in an international rapid chess tournament. Achievements like this reflect not only my students’ dedication but also the effectiveness of my training approach, which balances technical skill-building with strategic depth. My own competitive journey has been equally fulfilling. In August 2023, I secured 1st prize in the 100-rating category at a rapid chess tournament. Over the years, I have participated in more than 100 chess tournaments, gaining valuable insights into competitive play, time management, and mental endurance — lessons I pass on to my students every day. I offer both online and offline coaching, allowing learners from different locations and schedules to benefit from structured, personalized training. Each session is tailored to the student’s current level, focusing on improving opening strategies, middlegame planning, and endgame techniques. For me, chess is more than just a game — it is a way to train the mind for life’s challenges. My goal is to instill discipline, patience, and creative problem-solving in my students, helping them grow not only as chess players but also as thinkers.

Karate is a martial art developed in the Ryukyu Islands, which is now Okinawa, Japan. It is developed from the indigenous martial arts of Ryukyu Islands. Karate is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open hand techniques such as knife-hands, spear-hands, and palm-heel strikes. Shorin-ryu is one of the major modern Okinawan martial arts and is one of the oldest styles of karate. It was named by Choshin Chibana in 1933, but the system itself is much older. "Shorin" is the Okinawan language pronunciation of Shaolin as in the Shaolin Temple of China. "Ryu" means "style". Shorin-ryu combines elements of the traditional Okinawan fighting styles of Shuri-te. Shorin-ryu is generally characterized by natural breathing, natural (narrow, high) stances, and circular, rather than direct movements. Shorin-ryu practitioners will say that correct motion matters, being able to move quickly to evade violence by having fluid movements and flexible positions is quite important, and that a solid structure is very important for powerful moves.
