He began his musical journey when he was 11 years old with Ashwin Prabhakaran at Theme Music Institute, Bangalore. He is proficient in Western classical music and Contemporary Music(Jazz and Blues). He has completed Grade 8 in Western Classical Piano from London College of Music and holds a diploma in Music Performance (Jazz and Blues) from the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM), Chennai. With over 7 years of teaching experience, his teaching methods are remarkable and he constantly perseveres to impart his knowledge. Lots of his students have appeared for the exams conducted by the London College Of Music and ABRSM where most of them have passed with distinction or merit. Being a performer himself, he trains his students such that they grow overall as performing musicians. Rohan has learned under prominent international faculty, such as Antonio Guerra, Gabriel Geszti, Christie Kanska, Denis Stern, Aman Mahajan and Sharik Hassan.
