I have been teaching drums professionally for 7 years now. I have taught over 150 students in both group settings and 1 on 1 private teaching. I worked with Deccan International school for 1 year and Octavium Music Academy for 4 years. I specialize in teaching various styles of music such as Jazz, Rock, Funk, Hip hop, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian. I am well versed in music theory, so my students can not only play, but also read and write music. I am a full time musician. So apart from teaching, I perform with the bands that I play for, session with local and international musicians and record drums for songwriters in the studio.

I have been teaching drum for last 5years. Currently i am working in SRI Chaitanya School as a music teacher and in The sounds of music at Marathalli. Besides that i provide one on one session and skype classes as well. MUSICAL EXPERIENCE;- Classical training in Carnatic music and have been performing from age 5 - 13. Switched to drums at age 13. Self-taught for two years and then joined JR Jayesh who provided a formal introduction into the instrument and necessary reading skills and ear training for the next five years. The primary goal towards approaching my music is to be able to feel the music throughout and to be able to react spontaneously and to be able to improvise and play freely whenever I want to. Have studied DVDs of the greats such as Jojo Mayer, Mark Guiliana, Benny Greb and so on. Interests in music are varied. I am comfortable playing, rock, blues, jazz, funk, hip hop, neo soul, prog rock, and other standard and different styles of music. Teaching Experience: I used to provide semi-formal instructions to kids, and intermediate level students at Rocka and roll foundation of music Also taught students for a brief period at hum two music schools in Bangalore. So far my teaching experiences have been limited to beginners and early intermediate students which involves basics like rudiments, technique and most importantly helping these students to recognise their interests and supporting these interests. Some students are particular about songs that theyâ??d like to perform, in which case I spend a reasonable amount of time in breaking concepts down that makes it easier and more efficient for them to learn, thereby picking up songs much more comfortable and better.
