I am Triparna Roy, a dedicated Kathak artist and teacher with over 20 years of experience in performing and teaching this beautiful Indian classical dance form. Kathak has been an integral part of my life, and I am passionate about sharing its elegance, rhythm, storytelling, and cultural richness with students of all ages. Through my classes, I aim to help learners not only master dance techniques but also develop confidence, discipline, and a deep appreciation for this timeless art. I hold a Master's degree in Kathak from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad and am also certified by the University of Lucknow. My academic training, combined with years of practical experience, has given me a comprehensive understanding of Kathak's technical, theoretical, and artistic aspects. I continuously strive to preserve the authenticity of the dance form while making it accessible and enjoyable for modern learners. Over the past two decades, I have trained students from beginners to advanced levels, guiding them in developing strong footwork, graceful movements, expressive storytelling, rhythm, and stage presence. Every student has a unique learning journey, and I believe in nurturing their individual strengths while helping them build confidence through consistent practice and personalised mentorship. Watching my students grow into skilled and expressive performers has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching career. My teaching methodology is structured, student-focused, and progressive. I carefully design my lessons according to each learner's age, experience, and goals, ensuring that concepts are introduced in a systematic manner. My classes combine technical training, practical demonstrations, rhythmic exercises, artistic expression, and regular practice sessions. Along with dance movements, I also help students understand the cultural heritage, discipline, and storytelling traditions that make Kathak a unique classical dance form. I conduct both online and offline classes, making it convenient for students to learn in a comfortable environment while receiving individual attention. My sessions encourage active participation, regular practice, and continuous improvement through constructive feedback. Whether a student is learning Kathak as a hobby, preparing for performances, or pursuing formal training, I provide dedicated guidance to help them achieve their personal and artistic goals. One of the proudest milestones in my journey has been receiving the prestigious **All India Junior Scholarship in Kathak**, an honour that recognised my dedication and proficiency in this classical art form. This achievement continues to inspire me to contribute towards preserving and promoting Kathak through teaching, performances, and lifelong learning. My mission is to help every student experience the joy, discipline, and beauty of Kathak while developing the skills and confidence to express themselves through this remarkable classical dance tradition.
