She is the founder of Angaraag, a dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher of Odissi dance. She has been trained intensively under the tutelage of Smt. Sutapa Talukdar, Guru Giridhari Nayak and Smt. Rina Jana. Samhati’s parents, who were great connoisseurs of art, has always been her sole inspiration. She has presented a number of solo dance recitals in several prestigious dance festivals in India and in different parts of the world. She has also choreographed a number of dance productions of her own. Apart from Odissi, she also teaches Semi-classical, Bollywood, Folk and Rabindranritya dance forms.
