I run a music school 'Hamsanaada ' at my residence in HSR Layout.Teaching started with the idea of learning new things along the way and its been 10 yrs.

Learning about each raga, its Bhava and the emotion behind each song is the best way to sing any song. My teaching style involves explaining the basics of music, stressing upon the style of singing, explaining each raga in detail. Kritis are taught along with the meaning and the swara elaboration. Students whom I have trained have gone ahead to win places at national levels.. I give online classes along with classes at my residence. Along with Carnatic music classes I also give devaranama classes I train students to sing different genre.

I had learnt the basics of carnatic music as a child and had lost touch with music for more than 15 years. She reassured and boosted my confidence that there is no age bar to restart the learning process. The class comprises small batches of students with individual attention given to each student . Necessary corrections are made on the spot. She is patient enough to make the students repeat the lessons "n" number of times until they are perfect before proceeding to the next lesson. She also periodically organises music concerts which instil confidence among the students. She is an extremely dedicated and excellent Guru.

Teaching started with the idea of learning new things along the journey. And it's been 15 years now. Analysing the strengths and weakness of each learner and training them accordingly is something I love doing. I remember my teachers saying, a good teacher is the one who holds the hands of the weakest and pulls them up. Contrary to the belief that music is only in genes, I have witnessed students coming from absolute lack of music in family doing good, despite initial struggles. Though not all become great singers, they start appreciating good music. And what can be more beautiful than carnatic music. Indian classical music is an invaluable gift to mankind. Its highly satisfying to witness students identify ragas, share their experiences of a kutcheri, enjoy carnatic music as much as western and get ranks in exams. Music has also worked as a medicine to a lot of elderly students, to over come depression, over come mid age crisis, when pressures.. School going kids have witnessed better concentration, over come dyslexia, have over all development. Along with learning music, I also try to my students a better samaritan. Every year we do a fund raising show. Till now we gave raised funds to help a child fight, save water, rejuvenate lakes etc. Along with teaching students in India, I also teach students from other countries with students from all coasts of US, NZ, Australia, Dubai and parts of Europe.

May I know if you have learnt from our institute? I can’t recollect anyone by your name Coming to your points. 1. You say I ask for fees from small kids in group. If you know, most of the classes arer online and mode of payment is online. As I alone handle over 160 students at any given point of time it gets very hard for me to collect fees. So after completing all classes I send a request to all batches to send fees. As it’s impossible for me to remember the names of both parents whom I have never met I send the names of kids who haven’t paid. It’s understood that it was a request with parents. I sometimes receive fees from uncles, aunts, brothers , grandparents. So it’s really hard for me to remember every students family tree. 2. I do not know karnataka syllabus: my students for years now have been rank holders. And I go as an examiner for exams. Am sorry I had to respond to you, as people from this website were unable to track you. I don’t remember teaching anyone by your name, and I dono if your somebody’s parent as our institute has never received fees in these many years by any person with your name. Hope that helps to clear all your doubts
