Dear student, it depends on your aim, if you want to learn music for self satisfaction duration may be 6 months to 1 year but if you want to obtain a professional degree or PG, PHD etc,. duration is 9 -11 years. There is no time limit to learn anything properly. Where as it is hindustani music,a great vast field. A lot of thing u can learn here to improve,modify your voice.

Hello Lovinaji. The times is variable with person. For learning from basics to some base ragas in hinduathani classical music...it takes aproximately 2 years if you riyaz i.e practice sincerly and regularly. I teach flute basics & some ragas in 2 years.
