Any graduate can apply for upsc ias exam.....for prelims you shd b very strong in basics in subjects like Indian history geography polity economics n general science plus current events.....since aptitude paper 2 is qualifying in nature more concern shd be on general studies as above said..

Gd afternoon ancy, The preparation for IAS is of many folds like GS subjects,CSAT,optional .Exam is conducted in 3 steps prelims,mains & interview.You need to have basic understanding on subjects when you take classes from anywhwere( online or offline).otherwise it will be difficult for anyone to uderstand the concepts. I am suggesting you to start with reading CBSE NCERT books ,ATLAS & NEWS PAPER READING first & proceed further. it will take a atleast 9 months . so start there.
