There are many benefits of clearing UGC NET exams. The first and foremost is possibility of getting fellowsip for pursuing higher studies if cleared JRF. Other is eligibility to apply to lecturership positions in Indian colleges and Universities in the subject.

In present time to pursue PHD also, you have to qualify UGC NET exam. and ya if you qualify with higher percentage so you would be qualify as JRF and you can get stipend of Rs.35000-40000/ monthly. read less
