Here’s how it works: ### Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET in Management: 1. **Educational Qualification**: - Candidates must have a **Master’s degree** or equivalent in **Management (MBA/PGDM)** or related subjects from a recognized university. - **M.Com (Master of Commerce)** is considered a related subject because Management and Commerce have overlapping areas of study (like Business Studies, Marketing, Accounting, etc.). 2. **Minimum Marks**: - General category candidates must have secured **at least 55% marks** in their post-graduation (M.Com). - Candidates from **OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC/ST, PwD, and Transgender categories** must have at least **50% marks**. 3. **Age Limit**: - For **Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)**: Candidates must be **not more than 30 years old** (with relaxation for reserved categories). - For **Assistant Professorship**: There is **no upper age limit**. ### Why M.Com Students Are Eligible for UGC NET in Management: - The UGC NET allows candidates with a postgraduate degree in subjects related to **Management** to apply for the UGC NET in **Management**. - M.Com covers areas like Business Management, Marketing, Finance, and Organizational Behavior, which overlap with management studies, making M.Com holders eligible to apply in this field.
