Like all other things in life the answer to this question is: it is relative. Relative because if you have a good general knowledge and if you are from science/ engg background or you have attempted few competitve exams where aptitude test are used, it takes moderate effort to get a good score in paper I. paper II is your core paper and will require preparation time if you are out of touch and have completed your post graduation long back. What makes the paper easy are the following: 1. No negative marking 2. No stress in terms of time allocated for the exam Personally , I found it easy as I cleared the exam in Nov 2017 with a preparation of about 2.5 months. That after having completed my MBA in 1998 and having worked in corporate world for last 19 years. But then again, it will depend on your current level. generally, for an average candidate it should not require more than 6 months preparation to have a good shot at it. Hope this helps. read less

Do coaching helps in clearing NET exam?
It depends on the student. If your concepts and strategies are clear, then self study is sufficient. But in case of any doubt, feel free to consult a teacher.
