Very interesting question. It's same as choosing what's more important to build a wall- Good Cement or Bricks? Let me answer you my friend- Both are equally important for speaking and writing skills. Both play irreplaceable role in the language learning. Instead of asking which one is important, a right question for you should be "if you are weak at Grammar or vocabulary". Answer to this would identify the first step for you. And then you can definitely progress to other aspects of language learning. To identify a student's weak and strong areas in language, a trainer plays an important role. Well simply put, Grammar is the set of rules that words have to follow to make meaning, while vocabulary is the very collection of words which are meant to follow these rules. So , Grammar and Vocabulary are intertwined with each other and have little importance without the other.
