"Is there an institution which conducts crash course for hotel mgmt entrance exam." in   Exam Coaching

So Viraj, It sounds hip and modern to go on line and learn to speak and pronounce words in English. But how do you know that your pronunciation is correct? The fact is that if you learn from someone , the learning will not only be quicker but also more effective and long lasting. Cecil David, NSDC

"Why do you learn English for?" in   Language/Spoken English

So Nitin, According to an article published in one of the countries leading Hindi language daily "Navbahrat Times", the author, who wrote about how Dr. Ambedkar learnt English and become one of the most learned persons of his times and a role model to millions of underprivileged people; said and I quote,"The result of a study conducted by a reputed organization shows that people who do not know how to communicate in English will be similar to the visually handicapped and mute by the year 2050". I suppose this statement would suffice to answer your question? Cheers!

"What are English vowels?" in   Language/Spoken English

So Shishir, As you would know out of the 26 letters in the English language, five, namely a,e,i, o, and u are called vowels. These five letters are the back bone of all English word pronunciations. It would be close to impossible to pronounce any word without the presence of vowels in them. Just a handful of actual words in the English language can be formed without vowels and a majority of them would have a 'y' instead of one of the vowels. There is a lot more to vowels but for now I do hope this helps! Cheers!

"What is the Difference between an Argument and a Discussion?" in   Language/Spoken English

So, a discussion is a positive word; which would signify a two (or multiple) way communication with an intent to reach a certain conclusion. An argument on the other hand is a word which brings to mind instant negative vibes. An argument between two or more people starts from the ego of a person and hence leads one towards proving the other person wrong in one way or the other. A discussion has every possibility of concluding with a positive out come, while an argument would in all probability, end in angry altercations and may even end up with blows. Hope this helps! Cheers!
