'Blend in' would mean close to the meaning of mixing up so well so that the person does not stand out. SO the opposite of 'blend in' would be 'stand out' ' be different'. Whereas 'identify with' could mean understands very well and be in sync with.

It means, The teacher will teach the students in their own way, like how the student can understand. That's call blending with the students, or coming down to their level and teach them. In simple we can say that the way the students understand, in that way the teacher teaches for better performance.

I am in a place called Kannamangalam.  What is the correct usage? 'I am in Kannamangalam' or ' I am at Kannamangalam'.

Why modern-day writers have discarded using 'at' for villages.

Since "Kannamangalam" is a place, you need to use 'in'. Using 'at' will make your sentence sound off. So, you should say, "I am in Kannamangalam".
