0Our language is like our second nature. It grows within us as we grow. Once we accept this, it gives us an insight into the efforts required to master it. To learn a language it takes two things.
- Patience
- Confidence
Once we commit to these two, the rest falls in place. With dedication and proper guidance any language can be learnt.
Language is multi faceted. It has several aspects which need to be understood. The next step is to identify the aspect that is the weakest. It is like the 80/20 rule. Once the single major aspect is fixed, it becomes relatively simple to to achieve a level of competency that makes our usage of language acceptable.
Watch this space for more. I will discuss various limitations we Indians face when using the English language. And how we can overcome them. If the whole world can use the language, we can too. And far better. Together we will take baby steps towards this giant that is English language and discover its beauty. And I promise it will be a pleasant journey.
