An Oracle Certification , has a lot of weightage. However , just certification is not good enough , you need a good subject knowledge with hands-on.Infact, this is true for any domain.

Only aspect that helps in securing a JOB is knowledge. A certification can add value to your profile provided you have knowledge to justify that. Chances for JOB doesn't gets enhanced just because of certification. I'll say, if you are looking for a JOB then target on acquiring knowledge.
