Its depend in your choice. But MS SQL more prefer compare to Oracle.

Database is always wanted technology in IT. Infact its growing tremendously as data is keep on increasing in all sectors like cashless, e-commerce, SMAC etc. Oracle is no doubt a Dominant leader in DB industry. So PLS/QL is all time a good technology to learn in IT career.

Oracle is the widely used. Just blindly go for it. It has lot of scope. Plus you get paid well too.

It would definitely add value to have these skills, but these are not sufficient to excel in IT Career. There are plenty of jobs advertised on LinkedIn or job sites for just Oracle PL/SQL Developers. If you want to settle as database developer (expert) then you also need to learn how to work with NoSQL databases (MongoDB). read less

Whatever be the front end tool we are using in the IT Industry most of them using oracle as a Database and we need to know the oracle basics for it and hence better to learn oracle SQL.
