We grow up believing that failure is something to be ashamed of.
Fail an exam? You're behind.
Get rejected? You're not good enough.
Take longer than your friends? You're losing.
But life has taught me something different.
I've had moments where I questioned myself, compared my journey to everyone else's, and felt like I was falling behind. It wasn't easy, and I'm still learning every day.
What changed wasn't my life overnight—it was my perspective.
I stopped seeing failure as proof that I wasn't capable. Instead, I started seeing it as information. Every mistake taught me something that success never could.
That doesn't mean failing feels good. It doesn't.
It means that one setback doesn't get to decide who you are.
Whether you're struggling with studies, confidence, friendships, relationships, or simply trying to figure out your future, remember this:
You are allowed to be a work in progress.
You don't need to have your entire life planned at 18, 20, or even 25.
Growth isn't a straight line.
Some days you'll move forward.
Some days you'll feel stuck.
Both are part of the journey.
So the next time life doesn't go according to plan, don't ask,
"Why did I fail?"
Ask,
"What can I learn from this?"
Sometimes, that one question changes everything.
