English Speaking and Communication

Many people have a misunderstanding about English speaking and communication. English is just a language we are using for communication.

It is just a medium of communication.

Why native (British) also studying communication skills?

The reason is that communication is different, and English is different. English is just a medium of communication.

Case study:

When I was working as Director, Training and Placement in South India, we had Engineering and Management students in college; we were preparing them for campus placement. Most of the students were rural and facing English speaking problem. I discussed with educational head. I told analogy for him. I asked him, Sir, "Suppose we have to learn bicycle riding what we are doing? We learn traffic rules and regulation first or riding a bicycle first. He replied, riding the bicycle first. I said the same is applicable for learning any language.

The same way the child learns to speak the language first and then Grammar.

Conclusion:

If you want to speak English, try to talk first, do not worry about Grammar. Once you learn to talk, then try Grammar.
