How can one do well in class 11 and 12 (CBSE) without coaching?

Without coaching you have to ref NCERT books. Go through mathematical and science concepts first, learn the formulae and then go for attmpting different MCQ's. By having sufficient practise you will gain confidenece. Best Luck

Excellent Teacher

Main motto is to gather knowledge, it doesn't matter from whichever source you take. You can go for home tuition or study from Internet if you don't want to opt for coaching.

If you have courage to ask to your subject teacher in the class related to problems then you will perform better in class. Complete your basics and focus with continuous study.

As a current student at IIT Delhi, having secured All India Rank 748 in JEE 2013, I can confidently tell you that no coaching is required in classes 9 and 10. Dedicated preparation from class 11 will suffice to get a rank within 500.
