In 2017, the IIT JEE Main (offline) exam date is 2nd April 2017.
The online IIT JEE Main exam will happen on 8th April and 9th April, 2017.

| Image Correction | Since 10th December 2016 |
| JEE Main offline exam | 2nd April 2017 |
| JEE Main online exam | 8th and 9th April 2017 |
| Display of answer key & OMR sheet | 18th – 20th December 2017 |
| IIT JEE Main Result declaration | 27th April 2017 |
| IIT JEE Advance Exam (for qualified students) | 21st May, 2017 (Sunday). |
| IIT/other college admission counseling | July 2017 (first week) |
