IELTS and OET both are test for language proficiency which means both are measuring alltogether same skills such as - listening, reading, writing and speaking. As far as level of the test vis a vis Nursing profession, i believe OET is much easier as the background of the test is profession specific, on the contrary IELTS, having academic field such as -humanity, sst, history, science tech etc. Otherwise, all the fudnamental Enabling skills are same in both of the tests. But, personally speaking as a trainer i would recommand one to appear for OET if he or she is in medical profession, as it inculcate basic ethics of working. read less

But when we talk about OET, there is an advantage, if you don’t get the required grade in any section, you can reappear only for those sections within six months , instead of appearing for all four sections. If we talk about the nurses so obviouslyOET will be easierbecause OET is specially designed for thehealthcare professionalswho want to register and practice in an English Speaking Environment. If they appear for OET exam so questions will be related to their profession and it will be easier for them. read less
