I'm a certified IELTS trainer from British Council and IDP Australia. I enjoy my job to the fullest.

Well, it differs from the country and the university you wish to apply to. However, the average to pass this test is to attain no band less than 6.5. If you want to get admissions in the top universities, then you should target an overall band score of 7.5 with no band less than 7.

Band 7 in each IELTS Skill, i.e. Reading, Writing, and Speaking except Listening that requires band 8 for General stream. In regards to academic stream, 7 band is enough.
