The IELTS test assesses the abilities to listen, reading, writing and speaking in under 3 hours. The test format is tried and tested by the majority of the companies and IELTS aspirants all over the world and has not changed significantly for over 15 years. You would have to take listening, Reading and Writing tests all on the same day right after one another with no breaks in between. Coming to speaking test, There will be either after a break on the same day that is or a week or 6-7 days prior or after that. They are always made in this order. This is dependent on the test centre. As you might be already knowing there are two types Of IELTS test: IELTS academic and general training. Having stated that, However, when it comes to listening and speaking are actually the same for both the criteria but the subject matter for Reading and Writing components differs depending on which test you are taking. The total test is around 2 hours and 45 minutes. 3 hours max The format of the test is as follows There will be 4 Modules Reading - 3 passages to read and find out 40 questions answer in 1 hour. Writing - 2 1)report/letter writing/ essay in1 hour listening - 4 audios 40 questions in 40 minutes speaking- 3 rounds Introduction cue card discussion round. I hope this helps. read less
