Self-study is the best thing you can do because you know about your strengths and weaknesses more than anyone.For a scenario, let's say you want to get 7.5/9. Then it is best to do things as follows: For listening and speaking, it is advised to watch and practise with many TV series or English movies as you can.Their many videos on Youtube also. 2 to 3 videos a day about Listening section of IELTS a couple of weeks before the test and more on weekends is advised. For Reading and writing, the British council itself has a test material which you can ship it to your home at a price. There are many other Websites, too for getting the test materials. General tips for seld study for IELTS is just practising by doing. One shouldn't just glance through the materials. It is advised to find the conducive time and commit to it. Attempting the questions and score the answers. You shouldn't assume that you are just good with letter and essays. Or else you may be in for a shock, primarily for which you have not written anything with a pen and paper recently. It is advised to find a partner. It is going to be great if one can geta study partner to work with. It would be less annoying, and also you get that extra motivation of having a competitor. It would help if you practised conversing with someone to prepare well for the speaking test. read less
