His rich body of work is based on realistic depiction spread across various art styles like Water color, Pen sketch, Wood carvings etc. The Artist belongs to a family of extremely gifted and genius artists. Artist’s Father Late Shri Ajit Bhattacharya is known to have invented the now famous “Wood Carvings” of Bastar with Tribal Motifs. This upbringing and background has enabled the artist to master many art forms like Water color, Oil color, Clay modeling, Wood carving, Fabric paining, Paper crafts, Pastel work etc. The artist has worked closely on the lifestyle & culture of the Mariya Muriya tribes of Bastar, Chhattisgarh and majority of his work is hugely inspired and based on the same. The paintings in the exhibition depict the Almighty GOD in his various forms namely Jesus Christ, Ganesha, Durga, Radha Krishna and also the Almighty’s wonderful creations. The paintings are all Water color based and serve as brilliant exponents of the true magic of Water color. There is no limitation and bar for an artist. All the creations of artists are the unlimited expression of moods and thoughts. Artist’s pen, pencils and brush, plays around the creations of God, and his expressions (i.e. Paintings/Sketches) are the results as he feels it.
