Well, If you haven't got the gainer yet, better start with the cheat gainer on floor. But for a full gainer, you better use mats or practice at beach or somewhere grassy. Once you've got the hang of it, then move to floor. Don't practice on direct floor right from the start. Even if you land on your foot, it'll still hurt. So better start with mat or beach or grass.
