Have to work out between 2 chord rapidly and focus on placing pinky finger more helpful

Start doing single stroke shifting between the chords. Make small Chords combinations and and keep practicing it with only single stroke while changing Chord. It will improve your Chord shifting a lot. All the best!

How much time will it take to learn electric guitar?
Completely depends on how much you practice. The instrument gives back what you give to it. Also I feel one keeps on learning. Yes you could start playing chords of your favourite songs in 2 months dedicated practice time.

Should I stick to one kind of music like rock, jazz etc. and play Guitar or play all kinds of songs?
Well, to be a versatile musician, you need to try a hand at all forms. But then play what makes you comfortable. Like if you see slash, he's a rock guitarist but then he's played blues with bb king as well. I hope this helps
