Once you get past the initial stage of being comfortable with an acoustic guitar its time to buy and electric and try the same thing on the electric. Follow up with exercises for improving your playing. read less

They certainly don't. Semi acoustic have an electric amplifier built. However, they sound completely different even without amplifier cause of the shape, size.
