Hello SrinuThere is no such thing as Indian classical guitarThe guitar is a western instrument, classical guitar is an old version of present-day guitars, but they work in the same way. Classical guitar has nylon strings, has a wide neck which allows us to play with fingers. We can play the melody, harmony at the same time with our fingers, which is why the classical guitar is designed.Coming to the other guitar, you are probably referring to steel-string guitarWhich is used to play poo songs mostly, but you can also play different styles as wellComparatively, classical guitar is accessible on our fingers than the steel string ones. Also, classical guitar approach is far superior to the regular ones.I'd suggest learning both classical guitar and regular ones. read less

Once the beginner has covered basic dynamics of guitar playing, He should follow his interest. Both areas are good to start. So as long as you are interested, you will keep learning otherwise things become boring and people start losing interest and give up.

#More is more ..play loud. 7-8 years of experience

It's good to learn western at the initials with some mix of Indian classical because if an individual only sticks to traditional, later on, it will be hugely complicated to change the style. To get the western feel in hand beside the classical.

I would suggest you observe what your kid enjoys listening to more. Because enjoyment often means longer hours devoted to doing that art.And music is the art of doing.

Is it possible to learn guitar from the internet and how much time it will take?
Yes. It is possible to learn from Internet. But I must say a teacher is pretty much required in the beginning because if you learn a wrong technique in the beginning then it becomes very difficult to unlearn then. Hope it helps. Best of Luck dear.
