But they won't teach commercial stuff. If you want your kid to read and write music and explore oriental music and if you want them to get international certification, then go for western classical. But remember, Indian or western, please choose your teacher wisely.

World Of Music

Guitar is a western instrument, so it will be better to teach western. Later your kid can try indian classical as well, it's not different. Basic concepts are same everywhere in music.

Guitar Classes, Guitar Instructor

It's like deciding whether a kid should learn history or geography first. It doesn't make any difference. Whatever the kid likes to listen to and wants to play should be what is taught to him.

Hello Srinu
There is no such thing as Indian classical guitar
The guitar is a western instrument, classical guitar is an old version of present-day guitars, but they work in the same way. Classical guitar has nylon strings, has a wide neck which allows us to play with fingers. We can play the melody, harmony at the same time with our fingers, which is why the classical guitar is designed.
Coming to the other guitar, you are probably referring to steel-string guitar
Which is used to play poo songs mostly, but you can also play different styles as well
Comparatively, classical guitar is accessible on our fingers than the steel string ones. Also, classical guitar approach is far superior to the regular ones.
I'd suggest learning both classical guitar and regular ones.
