Guitar Teacher last 12 years with 30 years experience in film recording industry.
The first choice is to start class with a guitar teacher. If that is not possible you could start with some youtube videos and see how you cope. Try the basic guitar lessons foer beginners. You will finally need a teacher to help you if you really get very interested in pursuing playing the guitar. Thats the only way if you know if you are learning things the correct way.

Guitar & Piano Teacher
Hello there. How are you? I read your question and my answer is as follows. First buy a normal acoustic guitar. Start taking lessons online, if you do not find a good tutor close to your place, at your suitable time from an experienced good tutor who would not waste your time and money. You got to find a senior learned guitarist who teaches online and minimum time for each class should be 1.5 hour @ 1 class per week and 4 classes in a month. Try out, definitely you would find your way out. This is absolutely my opinion as a senior guitar tutor others have right to disagree. Regards Best of luck to you. Samir Mukherjee
