I believe you can learn by your own provided you have proper dedication and goal of what you want to achieve, Here are few steps you can follow to learn guitar without joining any classes: 1. There are plenty of youTube videos available to learn the basics of guitar. 2. Listening to the music you like is a good way to learn the songs. 3. Some softwares such as Guitar Pro are avialable can help you learn any song using Tablature notations. 4. Practice the excercises consistently to improve your skills. read less

Music is a self learning art, if you have guitar then you have to play every string with your fingers and you shoud observe the sound and try to sing the sound then you will get the logic your self

Firstly try to get some theory knowledge and then practice and try making some experiment with the notes , that's lead, then start chords, theory develops your skills in the brain and practice develops it in your playing (practical).
