I am an electrical engineering student about to pursue MTech from here (possibly in power systems or instrumentation and control). What should I do in order to pursue a PhD from the USA? Should I prepare for the GRE?

I am not being able to divide the time between quant and verbal for GRE. I have the official guide of ETS . Help me with the time I should devote to each section in order to score more than 320.
I would suggest you take a mock test and divide the preparation time for each section based on your mock test score. Usually the verbal section takes more time since it is much more difficult than the quant section.

The best practise material is verbal workout by kaplan especially the sections on typical questions asked in the exam especially the sentence equivalence and the text completions.
