Educational Testing Services (ETS), provides many disability accommodations such as extra time, extra breaks, braille tests, screen magnifiers, ergonomic keyboards, selectable colours and screen reader for candidates with learning disabilities or test-taking limitations. Candidates must apply for these GRE accommodations before registering for their test and have them approved by the ETS disability services before their test can be scheduled.
You can submit a request, send all completed forms and documentation via online, email, mail and courier. If you are requesting an alternate test format, your documentation review takes about six weeks once your request and complete paperwork have been received. If your application is approved, ETS will send you an email with instructions for registration.
Candidates who are deaf or hard of hearing can request for an oral interpreter, sign language interpreter, a printed copy of spoken directions (for paper-delivered tests only).
Candidates who are blind or have low vision can request for braille slate and stylus, Perkins Brailles, large-print test book, recorded audio, recorded audio with tactile figure supplement, recorded audio with large-print figure supplement, computer-voiced with natural figure supplement, computer-voiced with large-print figure supplement.
