Advanced:Switch to Manhattan books for better practice of questions and concepts. Try to give at least 5 to 6 mocks before the exam. Study Barrons 1100 words. And one week before GRE starts with AWA preparations. ETS + Manhattan is sufficient for practice. If required you can also refer to Kaplan material. On the day of the exam stay calm and hydrated. All the best! read less

GRE revised general test has six sections 1). Analytical Writing Assessment: It has two separately timed tasks. * issue * argument 30 min per task # scoring on a scale 0-6 with half point increment. It means the scores you will get like: 2 or 2.5 or 3 or 3.5 or 4 or 4.5 or 5 or 5.5.Next 2 Quantitative reasoning sections & 2 verbal reasoning sections. And one unidentified unscored sections. Out of these five sections, you will get parts in this pattern. Q V Q V Q (3 quants two verbal) Or V Q V Q V ( 3 verbal two quants).Out of these three sections ( 3V or 3Q), One section is an unidentified unscored section. It means that we can't identify, which is the unscored section. So we have to write all the parts carefully. How much time is required to prepare for GRE
Hi Sherin, it depends. I'd say 2 months if you feel very unprepared, or a month if you feel okay.

I am not being able to divide the time between quant and verbal for GRE. I have the official guide of ETS . Help me with the time I should devote to each section in order to score more than 320.
I would suggest you take a mock test and divide the preparation time for each section based on your mock test score. Usually the verbal section takes more time since it is much more difficult than the quant section.
