Take lot of practice tests and detrmine your weak point and accordingly take corrective action such as listening to english lectures with different accents.

See which question types or section you are making mistakes in the most. For example they can be matching the professions or any other thing. In that case search on youtube the strategy for the same and you will be able to perform better. Repeat the steps for other question types too. Easiest and cheapest way is to listen to Ted talks which is application have plenty of daily audio podcasts. Hear Audio for 30 seconds and pause. Thn check how much you have comprehended. If you have absorbed it completely. Then reset the intervell to 45 seconds, and gradually proceed In ielts you will have to listen upto 3 min audio and you will have keep listen to audio in small parts to reach 3 min read less

Answer to Q.2 It is better to continue MS immediately after your UG. Since you are going to specialize in the area of your interest a break is not advisable. In case you are going to pursue MBA, then experience becomes necessary.
