Which is easier to learn: Kathak or Bharatnatyam?

Both of the dances have their own technical things and tough parts. But still, I would say that kathak is a little easier to learn than bharatnatyam. Both of the dances have their own technical things and tough parts. But still, I would say that kathak is a little easier to learn than bharatnatyam. Because, initially when you start learning these dance forms you will realise that the basics of kathaks are easier than the adavus of bharatnatyam. The adavus itself takes so much of time to attain perfection. I'm not against bharatnatyam at any point. It's a beautiful classical dance form. But as it was asked, I would say kathak is little easier to learn if you are willing to start learning it as your hobby. But, if you want to pursue it as your career, then both of these dance forms are beautifully elegant, have their own technicalities and other things. Hope you got my point. read less
