Meaning: This law relates the momentum and force and time. 1) impulse is the product of force and time duration which is equal to the change in momentum. F*dt=dP ( in this case F is called as impact force) If the time is delayed for the same change in the momentum, the impact force will be decreased. This we will see while a cricket catches a ball. 2) to understand the contact forces like friction.
