If force is acting on a moving body perpendicular to the direction of motion, then what will be its effect on the speed and direction of the body?

The magnitude of velocity shall decrease and direction shall be same till it comes to rest, afterwards it shall move in direction of force with acceleration due to the applied force.

It cannot change the speed(in earlier )direction though, Net speed and direction of the motion shall change with the change in time.

Their is no effect on the direction of the body as the force acting perpendicularly but it definitely reduces the speed of the moving body or it will stop the moving body if the force is too much higher.

Speed remains constant ,but direction will change,ex:uniform circular motion ,if a body moving in circular motion the only force acting is towards centre(cetripetal force),at any instant the force is perpendicular to velocity ,there only direction will change not speed ,speed remains constant
