We know that Young's Modulus is the ratio of stress and strain. But, for a perfectly rigid body, the strain is zero, since there are no change in dimensions. Hence, for a perfectly rigid body, the Young's Modulus is undefined. Stress/Strain=Stress/0=undefined (For a perfectly rigid body).

Infinite.because there will be no strain for a perfectly rigid body.so stress/strain equals young module.here strain /zero ,any value decided by zero is infinite.hope u clear the idea.

If the body is perfectly rigid, then strain would be zero whatever the stress & it's not a practical thing ( to be a perfectly rigid body). so, E=stress/strain E= stress/0, therefore we can say the value of E would be infinite for the perfectly rigid body.

we know that young modulus =Stress/strain and A rigid body is defined as one manifesting zero strain regardless of applied stress so Y=stress/0 Y= infinite (because any number devived by zero is infinite, 1/0= infinite)
