If you want to sit for the UPSC and you're in class 9 right now, it's good that you've realised your goal in such an early age. My advice would be to read the news everyday, if you have a phone download an English news app and read the headlines for 10 mins everyday. This will improve your grammar and your current affairs knowledge. Secondly, you should be thorough with all subjects until class 10 including science and math, alongside social science. So, don't be lazy and study because you still have 1 more year. After that when you have to choose a stream i suggest you go for Humanities. Don't ever think it's easy, because it's not. Focus on Political science as a subject more than history or geography. Bachelor's and master's degree in political science is highly recommended because that will help you in UPSC more than other subjects. However, whatever I've mentioned above keep following that on a daily basis. If you do it from an early age you will not need a coaching. All the best! read less
