Log of 1/70 to the base 10 = -1 = -1 = -1 =-1 [ 1 + a }, ( since it is given that log 7 to base 10 = 'a' ,and we know that log 10 to base 10 =1 ) Therefore, log ( 1/70 ) to base 10 = -(1+a).
