Hi Utkarsh, Pursuing Masters in Engineering in Germany is always a great idea as they have a different outlook towards Education. In Germany Education is not commercialized so the Masters degree either comes for free or at a nominal cost and that is followed by a much rewarding Job opportunity. But this makes the selection process very tough and competitive and they have a limited number of seats. So you profile needs to be extremely strong in terms of Academic merit, Work Experience and GRE scores. Apart from that your LOM and Reference Letters Play crucial roles in the selection process. A basic course in German Language is highly desirable however not mandatory. So I would advise you to start preparing for GRE, IELTS and German language to make you admission chances better. All the best. read less

Hey Utkarsh, I completely understand the dilemmas you are in. You are coming close to 35 years of age and are probably stuck in your career growth where the salary or progress is limited. I would like to congratulate you on your bravery for sharing your profile information here. But you need to take into consideration a lot of things such as the language barrier, moving your family there, job opportunities, economic climate and most importantly is this what you really want to do. The answers to your questions are: yes you can get into the top 15 universities there but depends on your application quality and IELTS scores. Job opportunities are there but depends on which technology you are working in. Europe is going towards AI, Business Analytics, Data Science, Game Design, Green Tech etc so if your experience is in .NET, Java etc, it might not help you a lot. Although, you can go for project management which might be suited to your experience as well. I would love to help you out more as I have guided many others like you. So message me if you want. read less

Germany is great for Core Engineering - Mechanical, Automobile etc. For Computer Science, not on the same scale. Also do note, the free or nominal tutuion cost is ONLY if you take the classes in German. For this, you'll have to complete atleast 2 levels of German language certification (recommended places: Goethe Institut - Max Muller Bhavan). So do check up your alternative options, check for the fine-worded requirements when you see "free/nominal" cost education etc., before you make your choice. read less
