I also incorporate phonetics drills and listening exercises to strengthen accuracy and comprehension. For younger learners, I use activity-based learning such as picture prompts, show-and-tell sessions, and guided speaking tasks to encourage spontaneous expression. With older students, I focus on structured speaking — interviews, public speaking, extempore, and confidence-building exercises that prepare them for presentations and professional environments. I believe spoken fluency grows in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. Therefore, I emphasise positive correction, peer interaction, and consistent practice. Many of my students have shown noticeable improvement in articulation, confidence, and stage presence within a short span of time. My ultimate goal in teaching Spoken English is not just linguistic accuracy, but empowering students to think in English, express ideas clearly, and communicate with assurance in any environment.
