I have learnt Carnatic vocal and Mandolin for the past 15 years since 2003 and trained under the late mandolin maestro U Shrinivas I have been performing vocal and mandolin concerts regularly for the past 8 years. I perform and teach open throated singing style with strict emphasis on shruti shuddham and a judicious balance of gamakas and bhavam. I am also well versed with Ragam, Neravals and Swaras for advanced students. I play the Mandolin Shrinivas style of rich gamakas interspersed with fast notes and have played all the major ragas in Carnatic music with ragam, pallavi and swaram. I am currently teaching 12 students. I only take individual classes.
