I build skills progressively through a cycle of observation, experimentation, practice, and implementation — training the eye to really see proportion, form, and structure before technique is layered on top. From there, I teach perspective (how shapes shift and shrink to create depth) and light and shadow (how shading turns a flat shape into something that reads as three-dimensional). I use relatable, everyday analogies — like comparing shadow direction to a clock face, or perspective to train tracks vanishing into the distance — so technical ideas click quickly rather than feeling academic.
