I am Navyashree K N, a Bharathanatyam Dancer, a senior disciple of eminent Guru Sri. P Praveen Kumar, at Chithkala School of Dance, Bengaluru. I am a recipient of CCRT scholarship and a graded artist of Doordarshan. I hold a double master's degree in Psychology and Bharathanatyam. Being a soloist and an active dancer of the Chithkala Ensemble, I have performed extensively all over India. I am the Founder and Artistic Director of Bharathadhyuthi Arts Center, Bangalore, where I train the young talents in Bharathanatyam. I hope to cater the students to understand the essence of art in its truest of forms.

We teach mainly Bollywood, Semi classical and contemporary dance, and various other dance styles. As I got valuable resources during my training, they provided me with many tips that helped me succeed. I have completed several dance courses. Completing courses on Bharatanatyam and Bollywood Dance from the Structural School of Fine Arts are the most notable ones. I also like to share those experiences with my students, so I have started providing dance classes in my institution over the past two years. Before this, I worked as a dance tutor for the past eight years, and throughout this whole time, I have gathered a lot of experiences. For me making the learning experience for the students is my primary goal. So I always try to focus on the overall dance style development. I have created certificate courses for those who want to learn Dance regularly. The courses have been designed differently. After completing a two years dance course, the student will get a certificate signed by Madhuri Dixit, the iconic dancer and actress. Those who will complete one year will get a certificate signed by Malaika Arora. Students who join my institution would also be able to present an online dance performance every month based on the topic we select for that particular month. The students would also get a certificate for their performances. However, I only train children three years and above; for adults, I teach only women. No adult male members are trained.

Guru Vidushi Dr. Sukanya Priya embarked on her illustrious dance journey at the tender age of 8 in Chennai under the tutelage of her esteemed guru, Vidushi Kalaimamani Chandra Dhandayuthapani Pillai, wife of Padmashree K N Dandayudhapani Pillai. Despite facing numerous challenges at home, her unwavering passion for dance drove her to complete her diploma in the art form. During her early years, she graced the stage at various government-organized cultural programs. In 1995, she had the distinct honour of performing at the World Tamil Conference in Tanjore, where she received recognition from the Tamil Nadu government. Driven by her dedication, she pursued higher education in dance, earning a postgraduate diploma from Tanjavur Tamil University and an MFA from Annamalai University. Her talent was further acknowledged when she was awarded the Natya Mayuri Award by the Namakkal Natyanjali Trust. With a vision to impart the rich cultural heritage of classical dance, particularly to underprivileged children, she took her first step as a dance teacher in 2004 in Bangalore, starting with just two students. She established her Dance Institute Sukasruthi Natyalayam in 2006 and over the course of 17 eventful years, her teaching journey flourished, expanding her student base from 2 to an impressive 100. Dr. Sukanya Priya's commitment to nurturing young talents from all walks of life led her to teach and support underprivileged students, making their dance aspirations a reality. She also showcased her choreography skills at school events and various temple dance performances. Notably, she mentored children for dance competitions at the Iskcon Temple. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to the world of dance and education, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2021. Today, she takes immense pride and joy in preparing her students for a remarkable Arangetram, eagerly anticipated by their families, friends, and well-wishers.
