Academically a biotechnologist, but at heart a person who loves the environment. I started teaching young minds about 8 years ago. Academically about 6 years ago. I have the innate ability to interact with children and make them feel comfortable with me and my teaching. I love teaching children, specially relating their day to day life with their academics and connect this with what mother nature offers us. Generally, I would like to teach by taking students outside ( more of a show and explain types). In this way, students will grasp concepts better. I always look at " study" as an application oriented process and always interconnect the subjects so that the students understand that what they study is not independent of the other subjects. I love being outdoors, in the forest or under the trees in the city. It gives a good understanding of how much we are all interconnected with things around us. I have taken a lot of students on field trips after their class room sessions and all of them have been able to perform better in their academics due to this. I believe in following the heart and have always encouraged students to do the same. I have taught biology and simple sketching for younger school students and have allowed them to understand the subjects better through projects and posters along with a walk on the wild side. This allowed them to use their creativity and generate their own ideas and perform better in future.

I have done my B.Sc in Mathematics from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. I have completed my Master's from Indian Institute of technology, Madras (IIT Madras) and currently pursuing my doctorate from the same institute. I am offering Home tuition from almost 7 years. I am fluent in English. I emphasis that students should understand the basic concepts. I give equal emphasis on problem solving techniques and concept building.

I competed and achieved AIR 464 in IIT JAM Physics, and preparing for this exam has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of physics. When teaching I ensure that the student understands the reasoning behind what is being taught. I pay attention to the basics and interact with the student to ascertain that they are understanding the problem, rather than memorizing it. I am a strong believer in logic. When the student understands the logic behind a problem, they would have no trouble reproducing the steps of a derivation or numerical problem. I teach with patience and can adapt to the student's knowledge and ability. I hope that my passion for physics will affect the student as well. As I enjoy the logic behind physics, I also love talking about it. Students can expect their confidence in physics to increase as they will start to think about problems independently.
